Abstract
Tourist destinations that are classified as special interest tourism, especially in Cultural Tourism, are becoming popular and ogled by the public is dark tourism. The interest of the community that makes this destination more developed. Destinations that offer various dark tourism activities is North Toraja Regency, destinations in Toraja generally direct visitors to get to know the "culture" of the Toraja tribe in ancient cemeteries. In addition to tourist attraction which is the main factor triggering visits, it also needs to be supported by interpretation to link between visitors and dark tourism destinations. It is indicated that interpretation is the key to tourist satisfaction with a destination. The purpose of this study is to determine the success of interpretation in dark tourism destinations in North Toraja Regency, including the Ke'te Kesu' Ancient Cemetery, Londa Stone Grave, and Bori Megalithic Stone. This study uses descriptive statistical methods with dark tourism tourists as respondents. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a sample of 154 respondents and used research tools in the form of a questionnaire along with confirmation questions. The results of the study shows that the overall interpretation has been successfully perceived by tourists both in terms of cognitive, affective and behavioral, the most prominent element is the result of affective interpretation.
