Abstract
This Final Project focuses on social media strategies, specifically Instagram as a promotional tool to increase the number of room occupancy at The Jayakarta Suites Bandung. Based on the problems presented in this study, both from the documents and informations obtained from related sources, the researcher will describes the factors of unstable occupancy happened, the concern of using social media as a hotel promotion tool with its correlation with the marketing activities, also the promotional strategies that have been implemented based on social media dimensions. The method used is descriptive qualitative and refers to one variable, which the social media promotion that have been implemented by the hotel. The informants who involved are the Communication Executive and Sales & Marketing Manager of The Jayakarta Suites Bandung, while the key instrument is the researcher. The results of the study found that social media and several other promotional activities at this hotel are not optimal yet. The researcher hopes, the results of this study can provide a new perspective for the hotel in optimizing promotional activities through social media in order to increase good competitiveness with its competitors.
