Abstract

The background of this research is due to the high turnover of employees in the pastry section which is suspected to be due to weak corporate culture, and this study also aims to determine the responses of respondents regarding corporate culture, employee performance in the pastry section and to determine the effect of corporate culture (X) on employee performance (Y) at Novotel Bangka Hotel & Convention Center. This study uses a quantitative approach with a sample of 3 employees in the pastry section of the Novotel Bangka Hotel & Convention Center which is then processed using the SPSS version 25 software analysis tool. The results of the descriptive analysis show an average value of 3.19 for corporate culture, this value categorized as sufficient, and the average value of 3.80 for employee performance, this value is categorized as good. The result of the analysis of the Pearson product moment correlation test shows that the value of R Square is 1,000, which means it has a very strong relationship and with a significance of 0,000, which means that the correlation between the two variables is significant. The results of the determination test show that the R Square is 1,000 or 100% of employee performance in the pastry section of the Novotel Bangka Hotel & Convention Center is influenced by the existing corporate culture. The recommendations obtained and are expected to help Novotel Bangka Hotel & Convention Center in implementing an influential corporate culture, are to further increase appreciation or reward employees for their good performance, provide enthusiasm and motivation to employees, create a comfortable work environment and make employees in order to feel more valued for the effort or work they have done, and have a clear career path program.
